A homeless man decides to kills himself, but instead he prolongs it to listen to a trade: Two million dollars for his right arm. At the castle like facility, he soon learns that they want more than his right arm....You have an idea where it goes from there.
I thought that the overall book was interesting. I liked where some of the ideas went. I thought many of the ideas were original and well developed.
That said, I think the author could have dug deeper into the creepy/gory areas. I had really high expectations for this book, and sad to say I was disappointed. I do recommend this book, as it was a good read. I just feel that the author could have written another hundred pages going into some of the disturbing areas. It was like the book skimmed over them. I was expecting a SAW (movie) type of gore described in the book. I think some of the "freak shows" could have been elaborated on a little better. I would have loved to have dual narrators: read from the homeless guy's side, and read it from the doctor or head security's guys side.
::spoiler::
I would really have loved the book more if Mike (homeless guy) would have been awake during the surgeries to explain what he witnessed.
